Well done, Barbie! It's great to hear you are moving about. I'm sure you will have asked your rheumy team for advice on how to do it.
As for me: Ooooh! I think I have overdone it a bit with the weights as the ligaments around hips/shoulders/elbows are quite sore this morning. No matter, I have learned it's not the end of the world. I shall have a day of complete rest, exercise-wise, and when I next go to the gym, I'll avoid the exercises which involve these particular joints. There's always my ankles and back/abdo to target BigGrin

Hi Alice,

Sorry to hear you are sore today, I feel it a little bit but nothing too bad. Going to miss the weights today too and follow a fitness DVD instead will do that later as I have a headache at the moment and think I need some fresh air. Will do that after lunch, I have had it for months and this is the first time I am using it. Smile It good that we each work at our own pace, as you said it is not a competition its a fitness regime to do what we can when we can. It's good to see others joining in too, when we have our next get together we will all stand out so fit and healthy ha ha, we can dream. BigGrin

I also noticed I take MTX on a Saturday evening and I always feel tired on Sunday, But after my exercise on the wii and I did a fair workout, I didn't feel the effect of the drugs at all. I felt really good, so maybe the exercise will help in other ways too. Try something warm around the sore areas I always find that helps if I ache. Lorna x

Well thats me just finished the "Let's Get Physical Workout" I did the first two workouts and I am exhausted. I had forgotten just how energetic these workouts are. Think I will stick to the first two until I get it spot on, then move on to the rest. Had to push myself today not because I was sore but couldn't be bothered, but I did it and feel better for it. Took Amelie out, but so much pain!! I overdid it yesterday, walked back from shopping centre with double buggy (40 min walk) then walked dogs later. Couldn't sleep at all last night due to pain in hips and legs. Fed up now!! try so hard and get nowhere!!!

Hi Barbara,

I feel for you being in so much pain, surely there is a combination out there that will help you. Or can they not give you a Depomedrone Steroid Injection worked well for me in the past. Wish I could help you somehow I remember too well how just how sore things can be. Thinking about you Lorna xx

Sorry to hear about your pain today, Barbara. It's so important not to overdo it. It sounds like we are in the same boat today, to different degrees. Well, I think that this is a learning process. I am certainly learning how my body reacts (differently) to pain but I am determined that my RA-related osteopenia does not progress to osteoporosis. If we are inactive, I am sure it will be worse in the long term. But I hope you have had advice from your rheumy team about how to grade your activities.
